Pastor Orlando D. Edwards
Pastor Orlando Edwards accepted his call to ministry in December of 1982 and was ordained an Elder in 1985. Since then, he has faithfully served as the Assistant Pastor at Refuge Church, under the leadership of Senior Pastor R. Lamont Settles.
Throughout his service at Refuge, Orlando has functioned in various leadership roles, including both Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent of the Ministry of Education (Sunday School) and Youth Pastor.
Pastor Orlando has a strong passion to see the Body of Christ go forward and fulfill God’s purpose for us on this earth, and he has a strong passion to work with young men who want to develop more structure in their lives. Having consistently submitted himself to biblical training, Pastor Orlando is also prepared to offer biblical counseling as part of his God-given ministry. This was evident through, ‘Going Forward’ a teaching program he created and broadcast on Periscope every Friday night for more than three years.
Pastor Orlando and his wife, Denise, have been married for 41 years. They have three grown sons, two daughters-in-law and two grandchildren. Orlando enjoys fishing on the bay with the brothers, when time permits and working in his garden.
